Tinder experts reveal the word that will increase your dating app profile success

Tinder has released its ‘year in swipe’ statistics which included finding out which emoji its users are sending, what words will earn you a right swipe and where in Australia young people are connecting the most.

The popular dating app studied the majority of 18-35 year olds swiping in the last 12 months and found that 300 million emojis were used, we’re taking an interest in politics and no longer use the phrase ‘vibes’ to describe our laid back lifestyles.

‘If Tinder was any indication, 2019 was a facepalm kind of a year,’ a spokesperson told FEMAIL.

The facepalm emoji saw a 41 per cent increased usage in Tinder bios this year and in Australia specifically the person shrugging emoji was a favourite – showing off our shared frustration with the wider world.
